From the bridge where we feel like the Chinese captains of Pirates of the Caribbean, we discover a fantastic landscape: two thousand small limestone islands covered by saxifrage and riddled with mysterious caves… The dolphins approach and swim around the boat, and in the evening bats make sharp turns in the blue sky.

After landing, departure for Bu Dong, a peaceful village where the inhabitants keep the tradition of swamp rice farming as well as the art of water puppets, of which we will attend a performance. The puppet scenes are mainly taken from the daily work of the Vietnamese villagers: rice plantations, grazing water buffaloes, fishing and shrimping, singing and dancing after a plentiful crop.
