This trip offers you the chance to discover the different facets of South Africa from the Cape Riviera to the animal reserves of the north. Day 1: Cape Town
  • As soon as you arrive in Cape Town, you will be welcomed by your French speaking tour guide.  After a short briefing you will be transferred to your hotel.  Many travelers agree on one thing:  Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, often compared to San Francisco.  Its unique style and its “Table Mountain” always present in the background make Cape Town an ideal spot on the oceanfront with an extraordinary landscape that enchants each and every visitor.
The sites to visit are plentiful in Cape Town, each as appealing as the other if not more.  In the afternoon you will enjoy a visit of the city to discover its diversity, its museum, its Malay district before ending your tour on Signal Hill with a glass of Champagne.

Day 2: Cape of Good Hope
After a hearty breakfast, you will be met by your guide to tour the Cape peninsula.  This visit will include a cable cabin ride to the top of the famous Table Mountain where you will have a magnificent view over Cape Town and its surroundings.  You will then head toward Cape Point and on the way there, you will enjoy lunch at the “Harbor House” located on the oceanfront in Kalkbay.  You will discover the Cape of Good Hope, take the cable cabin to the lighthouse, breathe the fresh ocean air, and enjoy the beauty of the landscape of the Cape Point natural reserve.

Day 3: Winelands
Today you will head toward Stellenbosch and Franschhoek in the heart of the Winelands.  You will enjoy wine tasting sessions before and after lunch at La Motte, Glenn Carlou or at similar vineyards.  You will tour the Huguenot Memorial at Franschhoek and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the country roads. Return and night in Cape Town

Day 4: Hermanus
After an early breakfast, you will head toward Hermanus, the ideal site in South Africa for whale watching, particularly between June and November.  You can stroll along the coast and look for the telltale whale blow plumes when they go to the surface to breathe.  Outside of whale watching season, the coast and nearby forests offer spectacular hikes.  Lunch at La Création, La Vierge or similar places.  You will spend the night in a Hotel very close to the seashore.

Day 5: Oudtshoorn,
After a delicious breakfast, your trip will continue inland in the direction of Oudtshoorn on route 62 through Klein Karoo by driving through Barrydale, Ladismith and Calitzdrop.  Lunch at Swellendam in the Old Gaol Coffeeshop and Restaurant.  This semi-arid region is fed by mountain streams that allow growing tobacco, fruit and vine.  The region is also famous for its ostrich farms.  Overnight in a hotel

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay
After you leave the hotel, you will visit an ostrich farm to know more about these magnificent animals.  Then you will visit the famous Cango Caves.  You will have the possibility to explore the passageways, tunnels and underground caverns in a guided tour. You will then drive through George and Knysna along the Plettenberg Bay rocky coastline located in the heart of the Route des Jardins (Garden Route).  Lunch at Knysna at the Sirocco or a similar restaurant.  You will spend the next three nights at the Plettenberg Bay.

Day 7: Tsitsikamma National Park
After breakfast you will visit Tsitsikamma National Park well known for its many hiking trails of varying lengths and nature walks, the most famous of them being the “Otter Trail”. The park is a paradise for bird and spectacular coastline lovers.  Lunch inside the park.

Day 8 : Plettenberg Bay
You can spend your morning relaxing or enjoying a stroll along the coast to visit Natures Valley. Guests can have lunch at The Lookout Restaurant in Plettenberg Bay, which is also popular with locals. You will spend the night at the Plettenberg Bay.

Days 9 to 11: Greater Kruger National Park
Early morning departure to George Airport to board a flight to Hoedspruit.  You will be transferred to the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve located inside the Kruger National Park.  You will spend the two following nights at the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge.  You will go on morning and evening safaris with the lodge guides to find the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant).  At lunch, you will have time to relax around the pool, enjoy a massage, or simply enjoy the view of the desert. Kindly note that Sabi Sabi is located in a malaria zone.  It is strongly advised to the visitors to see their doctor ahead of time and get a prescription for an easily administered malaria prevention drug before going on any safari in South Africa.

Day 12 and day 13: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Early morning transfer to Hoedpsruit Eastgate Airport for a flight to Nelspruit (departs at 09:00) and then a connection flight to Livingstone.  As soon as you arrive to Livingstone Airport you will be greeted by your English speaking chauffeur and your French translator then transferred to Victoria Falls Hotel in the vicinity of Victoria Falls where you will spend two nights.  You will visit Victoria Falls also known as “Mosi oa Unya” that literally translates into “smoke that thunders”.  For your first evening you will go on a private cruise on the Zambezi River at sunset and you will enjoy a Boma dinner.  On the second day you will go on a private tour of the Chobe National Park, and on the third day you will interact with the elephants and go on a private tour of the falls.  The more adventurous can go rafting or bungee jumping from the highest bridge in Africa (optional and not included).

Day 14: Victoria Falls
Free quarters in the morning before the transfer to Victoria Falls Airport to board your return flight with a lot of beautiful memories, pictures and gifts.
