Day 1: Beirut/Paris/Buenos Aires (flight)
  • Late afternoon departure from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1 to Buenos Aires.
  • Night at the Hotel

Day 2: Buenos Aires
  • Early morning arrival.  Transfer to the hotel and free quarters for the rest of the morning.
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon, orientation tour in the Argentinian capital.  Buenos Aires is simultaneously surprising and familiar.
  • The city neighborhoods are a patchwork of cultures and buildings resulting from the successive waves of immigration from the Old Continent starting from the 19th century.
  • Dinner with Tango show.
  • Night at the hotel

Day 3: Buenos Aires – Salta (flight)
  • In the morning, excursion in an “estancia”, typical Argentinian farm that will give you an overview of rural life on the Pampa and its Gauchos.
  • Lunch
  • In the afternoon return to Buenos Aires and flight to Salta.
  • Dinner and night in the hotel.

Day 4: Salta – Chalcaqui Valleys – Salta (360 km)
  • In the morning, departure toward the valley of the Chalaqui Indians in the direction of Cachi.  This region is characterized by landscapes of extraordinary beauty:  The fertile region of Lerma, the Quebrada de Escoipe, where the red terrain contrasts with the lush green forests, also with the highlands of Pedro Moline (alt 3600 m).  Discover the beautiful town of Cachi who has kept its colonial authenticity.
  • Lunch during the excursion.
  • Return to Salta at the end of the day and stroll through the city that harbors numerous colonial monuments, such as the 5th century San Bernardo convent, the San Francisco Church, or City Hall dating from 1582, the oldest building in Salta.
  • Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 5: Salta/Buenos Aires (230 km + flight)
  • In the morning, we cross the “Quebrada del Toro” (the bull’s ravine), impressive landscape composed of colored high valleys and candelabra shaped cacti.  Stroll in the village of Santa Rosa de Tastil, small pre-Columbian village and a visit to its museum.
  • Lunch
  • Return to Salta for dinner.
  • Flight to Buenos Aires
  • Night at the hotel

Day 6: Buenos Aires – El Calafate (flight)
  • In the morning, transfer to the airport and flight to El Calafate.  Lunch and afternoon in a ranch in the countryside with a sheep shearing demo.
  • Dinner and night at the hotel

Day 7: El Calafate/Perito Moreno/El Calafate (160 km)
  • Excursion day on the gigantic Perito Morino Glacier of which large sections break away and fall into the waters of Largo Argentino in a resounding crash.
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon mini-cruise at the foot of the glacier
  • Dinner and night at the hotel

Day 8: El Calafate – Ushuaia (flight)
  • Transfer to the airport and flight to Ushuaia.
  • Free quarters for lunch
  • Afternoon, discovery of the Lapataia National Park with an area of 63 000 hectares, that numerous colonies of beavers call home.  Visit of the museum “Museo del Fin del Mundo” (End of the World Museum) displaying Indian relics as well as regional wildlife and flora specimens.

Day 9: Ushuaia – Buenos Aires (flight)
  • In the morning, cruise onboard a catamaran on the Beagle Channel with a beautiful view over the bay, Seal’s Island and Bird’s Island.

  • Transfer to the airport and flight to Buenos Aires (snack on board)
