Day 1: San José
  • Transfer by shuttle from the airport to the hotel (any time according to your flight schedule). Free time.
  • Overnight in San José.

Day 2: San José – Poas Volcano
  • Discover Poas Volcano with its lagoon. But first, lunch and tour at the coffee plantations. Lunch will be held at La Paz Garden in the heart of the colibri garden. The first section is home to wildlife in the heart of the jungle, after which the garden opens up to two big waterfalls as you walk through it. The full-day excursion includes transport, guide, breakfast, lunch and entrance fee to the National Park.
  • Overnight in San José.

Day 3: San José - Tortuguero
  • Early morning departure to Tortuguero. You will visit the banana plantations along the way. Continue to Cano Blanco where you will take a boat to the hotel. Here begins the Tortuguero adventure. This part of Costa Rica, called the small amazon, consists solely of canals and boats are the only means of transport. Lunch, settle down at the hotel then discover the village of Tortuguero. Free time at the hotel.
  • Dinner and night walk to see the turtles (optional and depending on the season) The two-day excursion includes transport, guide, all meals and overnight in Tortuguero
  • Overnight at your Lodge.

Day 4: Tortuguero – La Fortuna
  • After breakfast, en route to discover Tortuguero National Park and its fauna. Entrance fee $10/person
  • Lunch and departure to La Fortuna.

Day 5: La Fortuna - Arenal Volcan
  • In the morning, you can visit the National Park by yourself to admire the cool waterfall (cab ride roughly 5$/ park entrance fee: $10/person)
  • In the afternoon, guided hike through the forest to the Observatory Lodge where you can admire the Arenal Volcano.
  • This impressive volcano with its perfect cone shape is always active, so it is impossible to climb it. The only way to discover it is with your eyes!
  • Evening at the hot springs and dinner on site.
  • The half-day excursion includes transport, guide, entrance fee to the hot springs and dinner.
  • Overnight in La Fortuna

Day 6: La Fortuna – Monteverde
  • A private shuttle will take you from La Fortuna to Monteverde, passing through the steep country road, then one-hour boat ride on Arenal Lake.
  • In the afternoon, treetop walk on the suspension bridges to discover the forest of clouds in Monteverde/ Santa Elena.
  • Overnight in Monteverde

Day 7: Monteverde
  • Adrenaline-filled breakfast with the canopy! You will pass from one tree to another using ziplines. Enjoy the magnificent view and the walk through the forest of clouds not to mention the adrenaline rush! (Safe activity accessible to all).
  • The adventure in Monteverde ends with a guided walk in the forest at nightfall whre you will discover animal nightlife.

Day 8: Monteverde – Manuel Antonio
  • Morning departure to Manuel Antonio in private shuttle.
  • Free time at the beach in the afternoon to enjoy the Pacific waters!

Day 9: Manuel Antonio
  • You will spend the day at Manuel Antonio National Park, entrance fee 10$/person.
  • There, you will enjoy the heavenly beach with its paths and the magnificent view.
  • You will be astounded by the closeness of the many species found at the park! P.S.: The park is closed on Mondays

Day 10: Dominical
  • Departure to Dominical by local bus.
  • You will reach Domincal in the afternoon and will have some free time to discover its wild beach and craft market.
  • Overnight in Dominical.

Day 11: Dominical - Nayauca Waterfalls
  • In the early morning, half-day walk to reach Nayauca Waterfalls. You will take the bus in the direction of San Isidro. After 20 minutes, you will get off and hike for an hour and a half through the jungle to reach these beautiful and impressive three-level waterfalls.
  • You will have enough time to enjoy the view and the cool waters before heading back to the bus stop.
  • Bus: $3/person Entrance fee: $7
  • Free time at the beach in the afternoon.
  • Overnight in Dominical.

Day 12: Dominical – Cano Island
  • Early morning departure to Sierpe, the gateway to Corcoavado Peninsula. There, you will go on a boat ride through the mangrove swamp to Cano Island after breakfast. The island boasts the most beautiful coasts for snorkelling in Costa Rica. After lunch, take a small through the neighbourhood opposite the heavenly beaches of Corcovado.
  • Return by boat alongside the dolphins. You might also get to see whales (whale season from July till October)
  • The full-day excursion includes transport, breakfast, lunch, mask and snorkel, guide and park entrance fee.
  • Overnight in Dominical

Day 13: Dominical - San Jose
  • Return to San Jose by local bus. Catch the morning bus if you wish to go shopping in San Jose, or the afternoon bus if you wish to enjoy the beach a bit longer.

Day 14: San Jose – Rafting on Pacuare
  • End your trip to Costa Rica in beauty with a last day of discovery and adrenaline. Go rafting on Pacuare River, classified among the five most beautiful rivers in the world by the National Geographic
  • Level four and five rapids in the heart of the waterfalls and canyons, this activity is very safe and accessible to all!
  • This full-day excursion includes transport, guide, breakfast and lunch.

Day 15: San José - Airport

The best time to visit Costa Rica is from mid-December to April (the dry season). This peak tourist season boasts plenty of sunshine making it an ideal time for exploring rainforests and lounging on beaches. That said, the dry season is the most popular (and expensive) time to visit.
